Advertisements are everywhere around us, however, not all of them are effective. This raises several question such as: Why are some advertisements ‘easier’ to understand and to remember? How do we look at advertisements? In order to answer these questions we have conducted an interview with Dr. J. Schilperoord from Tilburg University.
Dr. J. Schilperoord explains in the interview how principles such as the Law of Proximity, the Law of Similarity and Symmetric Object Alignment play their part in human’s sight as well as understanding what they see.
This interview was made possible by:

Diks, R.

Special thanks to Dr. J. Schilperoord who made time for us in order to conduct this interview.
